
Major Acre Farm began in 2017 as a small organic farm growing fruits and veggies for the greater New Orleans area. This hot sauce arrived in the summer of 2018 after growing too many hot peppers. To preserve the bounty during the busy growing season, we tucked them away for a month-long fermentation vacation before adding vinegar for shelf stability. We had stumbled into the magical simplicity of “Louisiana-style” hot sauce. At market, we were met with an enthusiastic crowd that couldn't get enough of this zesty goodness. From then on we’ve grown chile peppers specifically for our hot sauce. In 2021, we relocated to New Mexico which is famous for its chile peppers. We’ve scaled back on veggies to focus on producing peppers and are slowly getting into retail spaces in Santa Fe and New Orleans. Thanks for your support!
